Regulation on Misfueling Controls for E15 Blends Expected Soon
The Environmental Protection Agency is finalizing a regulation that will outline a new label at gas pumps where E15 is sold in attempt to prevent misfueling by cars and small engines that are incompatible with ethanol blends higher than 10 percent. NMMA has long contended that the rule, which has been in the works since last year, is not enough to address public confusion and protect consumers from engine performance failures, emissions control failures and safety issues that could result from misfueling. The risk of misfueling is especially high for boaters since 95 percent of recreational boats are less than 26 feet in length, making them towable and fuelable at regular automotive gas stations. Investing in an elaborate dock system is not something to balk at. With the introduction of the modern concrete docks, the dream of a beautiful and usable dock layout can now be a reality.
In the past, those who wanted to install their own concrete docks had to settle for heavy structural materials which are difficult to assemble.
