17th Annual Spring Boating Expo Cruises Into Novi
February 23, 2009 - Livonia, MI ----- Hundreds of 2008 and 2009 model boats for fishing, cruising, skiing and wakeboarding will be featured at the 17th Annual Spring Boating Expo, March 12 – 15, at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi, Michigan. In addition to boats, the latest boating engines, motors, accessories, services, electronics, jewelry, clothing and gear will be for sale from more than 100 boating businesses.

“Spring is just around the corner and with its great selection and bargain prices this show is the best place to shop for your boat to assure early spring delivery,” said Show Manager Van Snider. “In addition to bargain prices, low interest rates and financing can be arranged on the spot.” Boats from 10- to 30-feet in length will be on display including specialty boats.

If you are not in the market to buy a boat, the show offers food, entertainment and fun for the whole family. Kids can get silly with Captain Willie, the Great Lakes Pirate who teaches pirate jargon and boating safety through his patented “edutainment.” Don’t miss the opportunity to shake a paw with our show mascot Salty Dog and spin the "Wheel of Fun" to win great prizes. Kids 12 and under get in free with an adult.

The 17th Annual Spring Boating Expo will again host the popular Discover Boating Center to provide potential first-time buyers with reliable, unbiased, personalized answers to boating questions. The goal of the Discover Boating Center (DBC) is to demonstrate the affordability of owning a boat, introduce first-time buyers to the joy of boat ownership, demonstrate the advantages of buying a boat at the Boat Show, help consumers decide which boat best fits their needs and introduce more people to the benefits of the boating lifestyle.

In addition to valuable information, the DBC helps show-goers find new 2009 boats on the show floor that are priced below $200 per month and will include boat, motor, trailer, dealer prep, freight, tax, title, canvas cover and safety equipment (anchor and 150’ of anchor line, two dock lines, six personal floatation devices, one throwable device, fire extinguisher, distress flag, horn/whistle, flare kit and marine battery). “It’s a great way to get people to realize how affordable boating can be,” said MBIA President Van Snider. “We will have a variety of boats from which the consumer can choose.”

The Spring Boating Expo cruises into the new Rock Financial Showplace, March 12 - 15. Admission to the boat show is $10 for adults, children 12 and under are free with an adult.
