Welcome to the 6th Annual Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show August 8-10, 2008

There is so much for the whole family to see and do at the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show. In addition to all the great boats and booth exhibits, there's wonderful live music, a variety of events for children, displays of antique craft and engines, and the wild and zany World Championship Boatyard Dog® Trials (on Sunday). Also, midcoast Maine is full of creative organizations with great events going on all summer…those that take place during week of the show have come together as Coastal Creativity Week--concerts, art events, and more.

If you love the coast of Maine, you won't want to miss this show. Come see Maine's finest artists, architects, boatbuilders, furniture makers, craftsmen, designers, marine gear vendors, and musicians. There'll be a model yacht pond, live music, a children's area, exhibits, fine food, the running of the 6th Annual World Championship Boatyard Dog® Trials, and more! See sailboats, powerboats, lobster boats and yachts of all kinds. As the only inwater boat show, with over 80 boats in the water and 150 exhibitors on land there is something for every member of the family.

ABOUT THE ST. PETERSBURG BOAT SHOW

Boater's World presents the 31st Annual St. Petersburg Boat Show sponsored by the Ft. Myers Boat Club. Come celebrate Gulf Coast's largest boat show with more than 400 boats on display in water and on land, including power boats, yachts, & fishing boats of all types and sizes at the show in the South Yacht Basin of the Mahaffey Theater. Engines, electronics, and a vast selection of marine products and services will also be showcased.

Hook the Future Presents FREE Kids' Fishing Clinics on Saturday and Sunday. Kids get free admission to the Boat Show just for taking part in the informational, educational and Fun Fishing Clinics.   Plenty of on-site parking & "come-by-boat" docks are available.

For the seventh straight time*, large runabouts (20 to 29 feet) built by Cobalt Boats have ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the 2008 J.D. Power and Associates Boat Competitive Information StudySM, addressing owners who purchased their boats between June 1, 2006 and May 31, 2007. The study investigated owners satisfaction with their runabouts across six factors: 1) engine, 2) ride and handling, 3) design and styling, 4) water sports, 5) sound system, and 6) helm and instrument panel. Cobalt boats ranks highest in each of the six factors.

Yanmar Marine's B5 Bio Diesel Approval

Yanmar Marine has approved B5 Bio Diesel fuel for use across most of its recreational marine engines, as part of the company's continuing efforts to encourage environmentally friendly boating.

In general, when compared to standard diesel fuel, B5 Bio Diesel usage can reduce particulate matter and the emission of so-called greenhouse gases. A maximum 5% B5 Bio Diesel is blended with standard fuel and must conform to ASTM D6751 or ISO EN14214 specifications.
