- Marquis Yachts of Pulaski, Wisconsin was presented with a prestigious "Best of Year" award during the recent Miami International Boat Show. The distinction was presented by MotorBoating magazine to recognize the company's new Marquis 40 Sport Coupe as the best new yacht in its class for 2007. The 40 Sport Coupe was first introduced during the company's annual dealer conference in July, 2007.
"It's a fitting tribute to the people who design and build Marquis brand yachts to be recognized by a highly respected publication like MotorBoating magazine," stated Robert VanGrunsven, President of Marquis Yachts. "There are literally hundreds of different yachts built by companies from around the world that contend for this award. Being the Best of the Year further supports our status as a world class yacht yard."
The Marquis 40 Sport Coupe was designed by the noted naval design firm of Nuvolari-Lenard of Venice, Italy and built by Marquis Yachts in Pulaski, Wisconsin. The vessel is powered by twin 433 hp Volvo Penta diesel engines with innovative IPS drives. This engine / drive combination powers the yacht to a top speed in excess of 40 mph.
