Luhrs Corporation, one of the largest volume manufacturers of sport fishing boats, announced today that the Worldwide debut of the all new 35 Convertible will be at the Genoa International Boat Show. At 11.9m (38’10) overall excluding swim platform, 4.4m beam, and displacing 10,659 kg, this new model is particularly spacious, and due to the strong euro, will represent unprecedented value for money for those looking for a well-thought-out fishing platform that also makes for a very comfortable cruising boat.

Before we ever hit the drafting table with an idea for a new Luhrs, we proactively poll sportfishing enthusiasts, customers and dealers on what features and amenities they would most like in a new boat. One of our
specialties is the midsize sport fishing convertible. With decades of experience in successfully building desirable sportfishing boats, we then assign our veteran team of marine architects, designers and engineers to assimilate the suggestions and create a midsize convertible of incredible value.

The result is the all-new Luhrs 35 Convertible. This boat is a unique combination of awesome fishing prowess, speed, safety and comfort. With an overall length of 38'10" (35'8" less pulpit) and an enormous beam of 14'6", the Luhrs 35 Convertible is big and roomy with an 84-square foot cockpit at the business end, and room to sleep six inside.

The Luhrs 35 Convertible is a fishfighting machine that features two indeck insulated fishboxes with macerator pumps, an additional fishbox in the coaming, a complete bait prep-center with locking tackle drawers, built-in livewell and sink. The cockpit also sports a 30-gallon livewell with high capacity pump that is molded right into the transom for easy access. When the reels start screaming, this cockpit will work to your advantage.

The flybridge easily accommodates five adults and is an excellent platform for spotting fish activity. Sightlines are clear in all directions. The bridge helm is located aft to give the operator clear visibility to the cockpit action. The exclusive Luhrs BridgeWalk™ – molded-in stairway – makes
access to the flybridge easy and secure. At Luhrs, we like to say that you can climb the BridgeWalk™ holding a drink without spilling a drop! Combine these bridge features with the standard twin 380 horsepower diesels and new, state of the art Glendinning® electronic controls, and the Luhrs 35 Convertible runs and handles like a dream. Add the optional twin 440 or 480 horsepower diesel engines and she practically flies to the bite. Whether you’re running to the canyons or banging across the Gulf Stream, the 35 Convertible will get you there quickly!

For those who enjoy the simple pleasures of cruising as well as fishing offshore, the Luhrs 35 Convertible can be delivered with a cruise option that features large windows in the forward cabin. This option gives an open, airy feel to the main salon with a tremendous view forward. Of course, the large side windows still function wonderfully as designed, bringing the outside in.

Inside the cabin, the wide, generous beam makes accommodations exceptionally spacious for a boat of this size. The main salon offers 6'3" of headroom, a full-sized sleeper sofa, 26" flat screen TV and Bose stereo system. The fully equipped portside galley is set up to prepare an easy meal while fishing or a full-course sumptuous seafood feast after the catch. The master stateroom has a double island berth with two large drawers beneath, and features a standard innerspring mattress. For your kids, guests, or crew, the guest stateroom offers a large berth that can sleep two. Both staterooms have plenty of storage, including cedar-lined hanging lockers. A full-sized head with vanity sink and a separately enclosed shower with bench seat rounds out the easy-living package.
