Transpacific Marine was incorporated in 1969 under Taiwan\'s Foreign Investment Law, by Ennals & Nancy Ives, and Mary Chou, and is now operated by Mary Chou and the experienced Transpac staff. Transpacific\'s first products were a series of custom, wood boats, mostly sail; then in the early 1970s we did the hull tooling for the Vagabond 47 Ketch and the Kadey-Krogen 42 Trawler, as well as some prototype boats for both of the above.
The first FRP boat sold under their name was the Transpac 49 Ketch, of which 58 were built.
The Eagle Trawler line began in the 1980s with the Ken Hankinson designed Eagle 32 Pilothouse Trawler. It was followed by the Eagle 40 Pilothouse Trawler and more recently, by the Eagle 53 Pilothouse Trawler.
With over 40 years of Asian boat building experience, including the last 12 years of producing our Eagles in China, we believe the quality, performance, and price of Eagle yachts reflects years of accumulated experience resulting in numerous advantages to our buyers.
Most Eagle boats have been sold through dealers in the U.S.A. A few yachts have been sold by European, Japan, Hong Kong dealers.
We believe our Eagles sell themselves. Some of the Eagle\'s advantages are: price competitiveness, short lead and order time, possible customization and good performance.
