This beautiful Palmer Johnson 'New York Forty' is one of a very small class of race/cruise boats specifically built for NY Yacht Club racing, and prized for their beauty, speed and durability. She's well appointed for a crew as large as eight. She has a sail inventory of seventeen bags including barely used Kevlar main and jib. 50Hp Westerbeke gives 7 kts under power, and she's been clocked at more than double that under sail in the Newport to Ensenada race, which she won handily in 2007, after finishing in the top five all five years between 2001-2005!
New bottom paint and zincs, mast and boom were stripped, primed and given two coats of Interlux Blue Easypoxy all in March '08. The boat is currently at Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle. A terrific boat, well priced for quick sale, and ready to be outfitted for summer '09 racing and fun!
