Built in Cosa Mesa, CA. Le’Zarder is a cutter rigged full-keel offshore passage-maker. Almost 1100 Westsails were built in 10 years of operation, and a very close camaraderie has developed between many of the owners. The owners get together for rendezvous, advice and help, exchange of slips, etc.
Le'Zarder is just the boat you have been looking for. She is hull #58, and a factory finished boat. She is a documented boat. She isn't just any Westsail; this boat has a history. Le' Zarder, which is the original name, has a picture of her in the book, FROM A BARE HULL written by Ferenc Mate. She was also in the sales brochures for Westsails. You might think she is an old boat, but she has gotten a new lease on life.
In 2000 she got a new bottom, and in 2001 new topsides, refinished decks, and Samson posts. She is powered by a brand new Universal 50hp diesel that drives a 16” Maxprop (automatic feathering propeller).
