DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL SALES & OPERATIONS

Genmar Holdings, Inc. is a worldwide leader in the pleasure boat manufacturing industry with multiple manufacturing operations producing globally recognized, prominent power boat brands. Minneapolis,

POSITION: The Director will be a member of Genmar’s management team participating actively in the total operations and future strategy of the International Sales Group. The Director will ultimately be responsible for the sales, marketing and operations of the Group. The Director will report to the President, International Sales & Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assume full management responsibility for inside sales and operations management of the Department, including order processing and international transportation;
Maintain excellent working relationships with the various brands’ sales, marketing and manufacturing leadership;
As the successful candidate gains Genmar-related experience, assume management responsibility for outside sales, dealer and business development, dealer relations and finance functions;
Develop and implement effective marketing programs and strategies to grow each brand’s international business;
EDUCATION: The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related sales management focus. An advanced degree is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8 to 12 years of sales and dealer distribution management experience in international business and multi-brand sales. Recreational products experience is preferred. A proven track record of profitable sales growth and excellent knowledge and experience in all aspects of international business operations, including global shipping expertise and international dealer finance and credit systems is also necessary. Experience in strategic planning and tactical implementation is also very important.

SKILLS: The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; excellent verbal and written communications skills, across a variety of cultures; an understanding of inter-cultural differences; and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Foreign language(s) proficiency is highly desirable.
