http://www.boatloco.com/images/classifieds_logos/teakandholly_logo.gifTeak & Holly, search recruiters for the marine industry, has been engaged to fill the position of Operations Manager for one of America’s premier semi-custom yacht builders. This position will report on operating issues to the President, but also report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors.
This individual will represent his functional areas on the Management and the Product Committees, and as a member of them, participate in strategic and operating decisions in areas including marketing, sales and product development.
Direct responsibilities include plant operations, customer service and purchasing.

Minimum Requirements:
10 years, combination of education and experience, with concentration in operations management preferably in yacht manufacturing or construction environment
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to forge strong relationships with customers and employees
Exceptional project management skills including job scheduling, resource allocation and cost management
Strong financial skills including budgeting and cost analysis
Ability to read blue prints and interpret or prepare specification sheets
Excellent problem solving skills
PC skills including Word, Excel and data base access. Familiarity with scheduling and material planning software

Must be able to read drawings and perform calculations
Must be able to read and analyze data
Ability to juggle sometimes competing schedules
Must be able to apply sound business judgment to decisions
