The expanded show now fills the entire Baltimore Convention Center with more than 600 new boats and booths showcasing the latest marine equipment, electronics, fishing gear and accessories. New feature areas include SailFest, a 50,000 sq. ft. all-sailing showcase, the Accessory Center where you’ll see what’s next, NOW, and a dedicated fishing section featuring boats, gear and accessories. The 5-day event is also the best time to buy, offering you a once-a-year chance to compare makes and models, secure insurance and financing and gear up with the latest accessories all at one time, under one roof!

Special attractions make a day at the show a day of fun for the whole family. Enjoy the “Fishing for Laughs” comedy show, hosted by Curt Strutz, The Bassmeister. Test your skills at the Power Boat Docking Challenge. Watch casting demos at the Fetch-n-Fish Tank. Get tips from the pros at fishing, boating and sailing seminars. The 2009 Baltimore Boat Show, Maryland’s longest-running indoor boating event, will pack all 300,000 square feet of the Baltimore Convention Center with more boats, more exhibits, and more family fun than ever before from January 21-25, 2009, announced Show Manager Michael Duffy.

In response to the success of the 2008 Baltimore Boat Show, the National Marine Manufacturers Association, producers of the Show, are significantly increasing the space devoted to SailFest, a section of the Show dedicated to the sailing lifestyle, featuring the newest sailboats and sailing accessories, in addition to an impressive lineup of sailing seminars. Visitors will also find a wider selection of powerboats, ranging from personal watercraft to 45-foot luxury yachts, and an expanded list of exhibitors offering the latest marine accessories and technology.

The Baltimore Boat Show will also feature five days of family fun and entertainment, including educational seminars and kid-friendly activities. The Show opens with its second annual Special Preview Night Benefiting Living Classrooms, an opportunity for guests to have an exclusive first-look at the 2009 Show, enjoy live entertainment and contribute to a great local cause.
